The first moment of your event should be unforgettable. One of my favourite ways to achieve it is to send the invitation printed or embroidered on fabric: a scarf or a square of fine linen that guests can keep and wear long after the day itself.
Heirloom, not stationery
A card is read and put away. A scarf is kept. Trim it with vintage lace for a romantic touch and the invitation becomes a small heirloom, a souvenir of the evening before it has even begun.
How to make it work
Keep the wording short and the lettering elegant, as script embroidery or a single-colour print. Choose a fabric that suits the season, and send it in a simple box or envelope so the reveal feels like a gift. For larger guest lists, pair it with a printed card that carries the practical details.
